Thrift With Me Thursday: What I Found, What I Bought, & How I Styled It

Welcome to Thrift With Me Thursday, my weekly roundup of thrift store finds, secondhand gems, and the little thrill of a perfect vintage score. Each week, I share what I’m hunting for, what I found, and the magic of giving pieces a second life. Whether you’re after cozy home decor, affordable wardrobe staples, or a touch of sustainable inspiration, here’s everything I found (and loved) this week—and how I’d style it.

This Week’s Thrift Finds | Brass, Pottery & Timeless Texture

This week’s thrift finds lean heavily into pieces that feel collected, well-loved, and full of quiet character. Lots of warm brass, sculptural silhouettes, and handmade textures — the kind of finds that instantly add depth to a space without trying too hard.

I’m always drawn to items that feel like they’ve lived another life before, and this batch absolutely fits the bill. Think old-world vessels, imperfect pieces, and ceramics that work just as beautifully styled empty as they do in use.

Here’s what I picked up this week ⤵︎

This Week’s Thrift Haul | What I Actually Bought

Here’s what came home with me this week:

vintage Fenton hobnail perfume bottle in opalescent milk glass – $6.99

  • Textured glass is such an easy way to add interest without visual clutter
  • These pieces catch the light beautifully and play well with both modern and vintage elements
  • I love a little milk glass moment!

The Cut List | What I Passed On + Why

Not every beautiful find gets to come home with me — and honestly, that’s part of the fun. Here’s what I admired, considered, and ultimately left behind this week.

  • vintage Fenton blue opalescent hobnail glass dish: Textured glass always catches my eye, and this one was especially pretty. I left it behind simply because I already have a few similar pieces
  • handmade pottery teapots & pitchers: The glazes and shapes were beautiful — earthy, organic, and full of character. Ultimately, I passed because I’m being more intentional about only bringing home ceramics I’ll actively use or have a clear styling plan for.
  • ornate brass ewer: A true statement piece with stunning detail and presence. I loved the craftsmanship, but it was larger than what I realistically have space for right now. This one deserves a home where it can really shine front and center. It was also missing its lid.
  • vintage brass candlesticks: Always tempting and these had great weight and patina, but ultimately I just didn’t need them. I try to pause when a piece feels like a dupe rather than an upgrade.
  • vintage brass cricket box: This was a fun find and I learned something new — I loved the history and the intricate detailing. I went back and forth on this one, but without a clear use for it in my space, it felt like something I might admire more than actually live with day to day
  • glass paperweight: all the funky little objects with so much visual interest always catch my eye

Why I Love Thrifting Pieces Like This

These are the kinds of finds that make a home feel personal — not styled, not rushed, just thoughtfully collected over time. Thrifting allows you to mix eras, textures, and materials in a way that feels effortless and authentic.
